Dunlop Sportmax Q4

Okay, so I just put my second rear tire on this season after switching from the Dunlop Q3+ and I have been extremely happy with the performance of the tire. So much, that it has brought up my confidence level in the corners. I’ve been trusting my tires more and pushing harder. I’ve also seen better lap times and improved grip with much less slippage.

After talking with Dre at powersports stuff we agreed that the where of the Q4 I just replaced was very good. The rubber beating up on the edge of the tire just means it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. The tires warm, the pressures right, and the bike is performing well. The unfortunate part was that the track I was at in Nebraska was more abrasive than I was used to. That’s why the tire chewed up a little faster.

So, overall I’ve been very happy with the tire and still don’t think I’m ready to convert to slicks. I don’t have much intention of writing this bike on the street so switching the slicks isn’t a problem. It’s just that there’s no rain traction if you use a slick. not saying it’s going to rain all the time but there is the potential for some rain and it would be nice not to have to switch tires.
